About you

As a strong team player, you will oversee the residential site, participants and staff. Working closely with the Operational management team and Coordinator, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with the resident’s support plans, use initiative and lead a team. Additionally, you will be well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and think on your feet in a rapidly changing environment.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Previous experience supporting people with high intensity care and support requirements.
  • The ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Demonstrated administrative and computer skills, including a sound understanding of financials.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, lead and motivate a team and resolve conflict.
  • Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills..
  • A current full/provisional driver’s licence and Working with Vulnerable People Registration.

Desirable:

  • CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support or CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability

Key tasks and duties:

  • Work closely with the Coordinator to oversee the requirements of the site and the participants we support.
  • Supervise staff members including verifying competence and supporting new employees.
  • Monitor the general health and wellbeing of the participant including the implementation of support plans.
  • Provide support and a wide range of personal care services to the resident.
  • Arrange medical and other appointments and associated paperwork as required.
  • Liaise with external and internal stakeholders.

Li-Ve Tasmania are moving towards qualification based employment and have the opportunity for the successful candidate to study and obtain a CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support or CHC43115 - Certificate IV in Disability.

Working closely with the Operational Management Team, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to work with the participant’s support plans, use initiative and lead a team. Additionally, you will be well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, problem solve and think on your feet in a rapidly changing environment.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Demonstrated high level of resilience, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated administrative and computer skills.
