About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in Administration whilst completing a Certificate III in Business Administration. The Business Services Trainee will work within the Business Services Unit as part of a team providing administrative support to the Human Resources, Operations and Quality and Risk portfolios within Li-Ve Tasmania.

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

  • A passion for learning and a desire to work in the Administrative field.
  • The desire to work within a high functioning team.
  • Basic computing skills.
  • A basic understanding of interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

Key tasks and duties:

  • Undertake basic administrative service to Li-Ve Tasmania through the Business Services Unit.
  • Maintain accurate data entry, record keeping, filing and database activities.
  • Apply established practices and procedures.
  • Provide internal and external stakeholder communication.

To be successful in the position you will be required to obtain the following prior to commencement:

  • Working With Vulnerable People Registration (Employee/Volunteer status, with NDIS endorsement)
  • National Police Certificate report
  • A current Driver's Licence
  • Sufficiently COVID-19 vaccinated

Communications Coordinator

About you

With a background in communications, you’re all over social media and content management. Analytical with creative flair, you’re a storyteller, and you can write in plain English, use an apostrophe, and slice and dice data. You also have exceptional people skills and you’re adept at building and maintaining relationships.

You can lay out a brochure, summarise web analytics, and make a community forum inclusive and welcoming for people with disability and their families. You’re cool under pressure and solutions-focused with a can-do attitude and buckets of initiative.

What you need

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in all things online
  • Plenty of experience with events, consultation and engaging with different audiences
  • Mind-blowing organisation, time management and attention to detail
  • The ability to draw meaningful insights from complex information
  • Solid Microsoft and Adobe skills

What you’ll do

As part of our small communications team you’ll:

  • Help plan, develop and deliver on digital communication strategies to drive online engagement
  • Help plan, create, distribute and evaluate paper and electronic internal and external communications and collateral
  • Manage Li-Ve Tasmania’s internal and external events, including: creating and coordinating promotional materials, publicity, logistics, follow-up processes, and appraisal
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate communications activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and budget
  • Provide administrative support to the Manager – Communications
  • Deliver high-level communications advice and support to Li-Ve Tasmania staff, partners and stakeholders.

If you are successful, you will be required to complete a satisfactory pre-employment health assessment, national police check, Working with Vulnerable People card (employee/volunteer) and complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality Safety and You.
