About you

As the Customer Relations Officer, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining positive relations with customers who are in receipt of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans. With a passion for providing exceptional customer service, you will engage with customers in person, over the phone and in writing to support them with staffing, rostering and plan enquiries, delivering exceptional customer service at all times.

Whilst experience within the Disability sector would be beneficial, if you are a passionate about customer service, have a desire to grow your knowledge and skills, and are looking for a new challenge then this may be the role for you.

Key tasks and duties:

  • Maintain positive customer relations.
  • Liaise with customers, their families and external stakeholders, as it relates to their NDIS plan.
  • In conjunction with the Coordinator, develop and implement Individual’s goals and objectives relative to the NDIA packages.
  • Undertake problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution tasks relative to a customer’s program outcomes.
  • Assist with the recruitment, induction, orientation, supervision and direction of staff employed within the organisation.

To be successful in this position you will:

  • Have exceptional customer service orientation with experience in problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Have a professional phone etiquette.
  • Have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to meet customer needs.
  • Have a strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time and prioritise plans and goals.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Have a current full driver’s licence and Working with Vulnerable People card, or the ability to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People card.

If you are successful, you will be required to complete a satisfactory pre-employment health assessment, national police check, and complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality Safety and You.

We are currently seeking a Rostering Administrator to join our team in Hobart working 1-9pm Monday to Friday.

  • Assist with preparation of reports and documentation as required.
  • Utilise a high standard of communication skills in dealings with the people we support, management, other key stakeholders and other members of staff.

Project Coordinator - Healthy Dying for People with a Disability

About the role

Forming part of a small, innovative and compassionate team, you will work alongside the Project Lead in contributing to a unique, one of a kind, project that will lead to achieving healthy dying for people with a disability.

With a background in the health sector, you will have a passion for working with people who have a lived experience with disability. You will understand that no one gets a second chance to improve their experience of dying, which means you know how important it is to collaborate with the right people at the right time to enable person centred, best practice palliative care to be accessed by people with disability.

With authentic communication and collaboration skills, you will be confident to assist with all aspects of project management including preparation of quality reports and ensuring project deliverables are on time and within budget.

You are keen to contribute to projects and initiatives, cool under pressure, compassionate and sensitive when liaising with stakeholders, solutions-focused with a can-do attitude and ready to make a practical difference to how people with disability experience end of life care .

What you need

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and innovative planning and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects and achieve quality outcomes
  • Practise based experience in working with people with a disability and/or other vulnerable populations.
  • An understanding and/or experience of working in the Palliative Care sector and the ability to work with a palliative care approach to deliver project outcomes.
  • Excellent people, communication, presentation and relationship building skills that reflect the Li-Ve Tasmania organisational values.
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage time effectively, balance competing prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity when engaging with stakeholders and end of life conversations.
  • A current full driver licence.
  • Previous experience in the Clinical Health sector is desirable.

What you will do

Working closely with the Project Lead, you will assist in the coordination and delivery of the project by:

  • Contributing to strategic scoping, planning, implementation and evaluation of the project.
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of the unique and meaningful project deliverables.
  • Contributing to the development and continuation of community and stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaborating with health and disability services to implement resources and deliver workshops
  • Managing meeting and project logistics and administration.
  • This role can be full time or part-time (minimum 4 days per week) – negotiable with the successful candidate.
  • This is a fixed term role (minimum of 18 months with a potential to extend by a few months)

To be successful in the position you will be required to obtain the following prior to commencement:

Accounts Receivable Officer

Your new role

This permanent full time basis, will see you employed as the Accounts Receivables Officer, working closely with the finance team completing a range of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance of Accounts Receivable for the finance department (including invoicing and follow up of debtors)
  • Processing of bank reconciliations
  • Maintain NDIA portal access and uploads
  • Maintain accurate and confidential data entry requirements
  • Provide general administrative and financial services support to the Finance Team and other departments as required
  • Liaise with external organisations and stakeholders
  • Assist with preparation of financial and management reports & documentation
  • Support annual audit and statutory obligations


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful you will have previous experience in a similar accounts receivables or billing position. You will have

  • Finance administration experience and strong understanding of accounts receivable
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with people we support, families, staff, management and external stakeholders
  • The ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality
  • The ability to work in a team environment with fluctuating workloads
  • A current full drivers licence and Working with Vulnerable People card

In addition you will have experience utilising various finance software with the ability to quickly learn new systems. If you’re successful, you’ll need a satisfactory pre-employment health assessment, national police check and to have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality Safety and You.
