What’s so special about The Zone?
Other places can be very structured: ‘Bowling every Tuesday at nine, then art in the afternoon. Cooking first up Wednesday, then a movie…
At the Zone, how you spend your time is totally up to you.* You’ll find:
Sure, we can put together a timetable if you want one – but you don’t have to slot into any pre-set programs. You decide what you’d like to do and we help you make it happen.
If you’re aged 14 to 28 and you’d like to spend your day your way, get in touch to tour The Zone. We offer support 9am-3pm weekdays, or as required.
*We provide supports in line with your NDIS plan.
The Cottage provides in-centre day support programs and activities in the community for people 50+.
The Cottage is nestled in New Norfolk, 40 minutes from Hobart.
The homey weatherboard is set amid lush lawns with established trees, a rose bed and the gardens where participants grow veggies and fruit for themselves and the local community. The atmosphere is purposeful but in a low-key way, as staff and participants come and go, enjoying a range of activities. The space feels safe, inviting and full of promise.
How you spend your day is totally up to you – whether it’s a trip to the men's shed, a swim or a visit with a friend or family. We offer activities that interest our participants, so if there’s something you like to do, just let us know and we’ll do our best to tee something up.
This place really is something special.

Based at Oakdale Lodge, The Lodge Day Options (TLDO) program is a flexible day program, mainly for Oakdale Lodge residents who have retired or no longer wish to attend an external day service provider. TLDO runs Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm.
We make up the weekly program in consultation with the people we support to cater for what they want and need. This can and does change daily, to meet the fluctuating support needs of the people we support.
The program participants can choose activities like: gardening, shopping, walks in the community, beach visits, volunteering at a local school or the Dog’s Home of Tasmania, eating with friends at local community centres, art and craft, and picnics.
We can help you build up your independence and live the life you want.
We design your support around you – you interests, your circumstances, your goals and your needs. We can support you in areas from personal care to exploring new hobbies.
One-on-one support is pretty personal, so we don’t partner you with just anyone. We do our best to assign staff you have something in common with – they might be around your age, share some of your interests or just have a compatible personality. And if you don’t get along? No problem! Just tell us and we’ll try someone else.
