Li-Ve Tasmania CEO Darren Mathewson joined ABC Radio's Mornings with Leon Compton on Wednesday morning following the 2020-21 Federal Budget announcement.
Tuesday night’s announcement confirmed that the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will receive an additional $3.9 billion in funding.
Darren welcomed the news, expecting it to make a real difference in the lives of people with disability.
‘This will mean that additional funds will be available to speed up people's entry into the NDIS,’ Darren said.
‘This $3.9 billion boost over four years will allow participants access to appropriate supports and ensure the NDIS is responding to people's needs if they change.’
