At its December meeting, the Board decided that Li-Ve Tasmania will keep Oakdale Lodge and reimagine how it can benefit Tasmanian people living with disability and their families for the next 50 years.
The Board was clear that staff, residents and families want Oakdale Lodge to be part of the organisation’s future, and agreed that, of the available options, this outcome best aligned with the Li‑Ve Tas community’s wishes.
In making its decision, the Board acknowledged The Lodge’s rich history and its ongoing contribution to both Li-Ve Tas and the wider community.
During 2021, Li-Ve Tasmania will consult with key stakeholders and explore the options for The Lodge’s future.
By the end of this year, we are aiming to have a plan for The Lodge that will see it continue as a centre for innovation and best practice for another five decades. We’ll keep you updated as the plan develops.
