Disability Royal Commission

Update

Posted March 30, 2021

The Disability Royal Commission (DRC) is investigating violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation of people living with disability.

The DRC has:

• recently published information about how people with disability are at much greater risk of neglect during emergencies

• planned hearings (in May) about the NDIS and service providers

• heard evidence about how the criminal justice system works for people with disability.

The DRC would like to hear more from people with disability, and their families, carers and supporters who want to share their experiences and ideas about what changes we need.
